We currently offer one course – Understanding Dogs – designed for those people who do or wish to work with dogs as part of their job/career, as well as owners seeking a better understanding of their pet dogs.

We also offer stand alone staff training sessions on dog awareness for business whose staff encounter dogs as a regular part of their employment, such as the hospitality and leisure sectors.

Understanding Dogs

We are currently running due to start a new class on the 2nd June 2026. new courses will be available August 2026 running in the evening 7.00-9.00pm Days and dates to be confirmed

Venue – Foredowne Kennels and Cattery. Newton Abbot.

The cost of the course is £99.00 in advance, or £20.00 per session (£120.00)

CPD Certificate will be provided upon completion of the course.

Meet your tutor

Jared is a Guild of Dog Trainers, Professional Dog Training Instructor. He is also an experienced and qualified teacher and adult tutor. The course is delivered in a relaxed but informative style, with regular student participation and discussion.

Previous students include a variety of dog owners and staff who work with dogs as part of their jobs.

Their roles have included Dog Walker, Kennel Staff, Kennel Receptionist, Animal Centre staff, Kennel Club Manager, Dog Rescue Trustee, Dog Owners!
